New Canaan, CT – LiveGirl will again partner with the Carriage Barn Arts Center for its fourth annual arts exhibit. This year’s curated exhibit, She Is Rising, is a celebration of women of various ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities – some captured from life, and others imagined – who represent female power in a myriad of manifestations. The exhibit features artwork by pop artist phenomenon Ashley Longshore, artist activist TL Duryea, and contemporary artist Michele Voight and will run May 27 – June 5.

LiveGirl Founder and CEO Sheri West expressed her enthusiasm for the exhibit, ”We are thrilled to give a platform to female artists and give voice to the movement of unstoppable young women rising up today for social change.” West continued, “The benefit will make possible our free-of-charge, innovative leadership development and mentoring programs for girls in grade 5 through college.”

“We are proud to partner with LiveGirl and showcase the work of these talented artists,” said Hilary Wittman, Executive Director of The Carriage Barn Arts Center. “The selected pieces reflect many interpretations of female power and celebrate LiveGirl’s mission to building confident, inclusive leaders.”

Ashley Prymas, Founder of Plucky, co-curated the exhibit and shared, “These talented artists harness the idea of female power through various media – from pure abstraction to images of recent protests to pop art and beyond. This timely exhibition not only provides women with a voice but also highlights the vital need, now more than ever, to have an organization like LiveGirl.”

LiveGirl will host a Family Fun Friday on June 4th from 5 – 7 p.m. The celebratory event will feature live music by Melissa Wasserman, artist TL Duryea completing a masterpiece, carnival games, and Flaco’s Taco Truck.
