Otis and the Hurricanes Perform at Music at the Barn

Otis and the Hurricanes will be playing the roots of Rock ‘n Roll at Music at the Barn at the Weston History & Culture Center in Weston, CT on Sunday, July 23, 2023. Grounds open at 5:00pm; Music from 5:30pm – 7pm. Bring a picnic dinner, lawn chair, BYOB and enjoy the show! In addition to the music, there will be a kids crafting table, lawn games, self-guided tours of the new exhibit, “Weston Illustrated: Penned, Painted & Sculpted”, and a stroll through the Daniel E. WESTON, CT – The Weston History & Culture Center’s popular outdoor summer concert series, Music at the Barn, is back for its 8th season. Otis and the Hurricanes performs on Sunday July 23, 2023. Grounds open at 5:00pm; Music from 5:30pm – 7pm. Bring a picnic dinner, lawn chair, BYOB and enjoy the show! Tickets at the door or in advance: https://westoncthistory.org. WHCC Members: $15 per person; General admission: $20 per person; Children 12 and under: FREE. Concerts are rain or shine. In addition to the music, there will be a kids crafting table, fun lawn games, and a walk through the Daniel E. Offutt, III Sculpture Garden. Explore history with a self-guided tour of the new exhibition, “Weston Illustrated: Penned, Painted & Sculpted”.

Otis and the Hurricanes play the roots of American Rock ‘n Roll influenced by the likes of Fats Domino, Professor Longhair, Little Feat, The Funky Meters, Alan Toussaint, Delbert McClinton, and the legendary Chuck Berry. The Hurricanes are a group of veteran musicians who will rock the barn! Chris “Otis” Cross is the voice of the Hurricanes. His friends named him “Otis” at the age of 12 when he picked up a Fender Telecaster and bent his first blues note. He has opened for and played with musical icons like James Montgomery, Mark Naftalin, Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter and Buckwheat Zydeco.

The Weston History & Culture Center is located at 104 Weston Road Weston, CT. Parking is FREE and located in our parking lot on High Acre Road. Overflow parking along High Acre Road. Concerts are rain or shine. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket as seating is outside. Indoor restrooms are on site.
