Bridgeport, CT – Bridgeport Department of Public Health Director Jackson-Shaheed encourages adults and children that are not vaccinated to get FREE COVID-19 testing which is now available at the North Branch Library located at 3455 Madison Avenue.
At the COVID testing location, insurance is not required, and no appointment needed; walk-ins are accepted.
Onsite staff will administer the PCR test via nasal swab and the results of the test will be provided in 1-3 days via phone or email.
Available COVID-19 testing hours:
MON, TUE, WED 6am to 2pm
THU, FRI 12pm to 7pm
SAT 7am to 12pm
SUN 12pm to 5pm
Director Jackson-Shaheed stated, “Getting tested regularly for COVID-19 may help limit the spread of the virus to your family, friends, and others in your community. Early detection helps identify infected individuals to help prevent further transmission.”
