The Rowayton Library announced on Sunday that it will be closed until further notice due to COVID-19 exposure.
In an email sent to its email list, the library announced that an employee has come into contact with a “confirmed case of COVID-19”.
The email explains that the library will be closed until it is deemed safe to re-open “out of an abundance of caution to best protect the health, safety, and wellness of the community”.
While the building is closed to visitors, the book drop will remain open for returns around the clock. It will be emptied at 10 a.m. each morning, according to the email.
The organization also reminds its patrons that they can still use their online resources where people can read and listen to books and music, watch movies and more.
